The path which led me here was not one I could have imagined. My creative journey began during a period of what I like to call trauma and drama, when creating became my refuge — a way to manage stress, express words and feelings I could not, and ultimately to heal.

As my once hectic life slowed down to a near stillness I found my creative self. This began as I became my father’s care giver, at first I tried to keep my business active and was somewhat successful for the first few months but it was difficult. When he was moved from palliative care to hospice care I could no longer manage to do some or any work so I closed my business and became a full time caregiver. I could do little else while sitting with him so I began to create, slowly, the creater within me emerged — thats how I know there is a creative-self living inside each of us. What started as a small ember has grown into a steady flame, and with each brushstroke and every new creation I try, I continue to grow and thrive as a Creative. For me, this was the last gift from my dad which I cherish dearly, but for any of us all we have to do is let it be, and let it out.

I came to realize that there was a brilliant connection between creativity, mental health, and wellness. Mental health has always been important to me for myself and others. I have had many opportunities to become very familiar with mental health and its impact of ourselves and those around us through my own mental health needs and through my connections with others who also experienced mental health challenges, from minor to extreme. Having the ability to understand and respect the need for everyone to have a way to regain amore healthy, balanced mental health and/or mindset I wanted to offer and be apart the healing process which is why this path of creating is so important to me and close to my heart.

I have learned first hand that creative expression is not just about making something beautiful — it is a deeply healing practice for our mind, body, and soul, which are intertwined and depend on one another for balance and wholeness.

And why the green door?? The green door, specifically, an old green, wooden garden door, holds a very special meaning for me. It was created in my mind’s eye during a gathering I attended for mental health wellness, and once I was able to walk through it closed behind me and I was in a space that was so bright, full of golden light - mind body and soul. The green light became my symbol of transformation and renewal of my life and my mindset . It led me to become a Life Coach, Death Doula, and Natural Herbalist/Naturopath, and am continuing my studies to become a certified Breathwork Coach and Reiki Master with more learning and growing to come!

As my journey continues to unfold, my wish is to offer a creative, healing space for others — a place where anyone can explore or expand their creativity, learn or teach, and when needed, simply have a safe place to just be.

Welcome to my world of creation — and perhaps, to your own Door.

Hello and welcome — I’m so glad you’re here!
